Straightforward, private-pay care. Alluvial is a private-pay mental health practice. I believe you should know what therapy costs before you decide whether we’re a good fit.

Individual Therapy

50-minute individual session — $150

Your first session is typically a 50-minute intake and assessment and is billed at the same rate.

Payment is due at the time of service unless another arrangement has been made in advance.

Insurance & Superbills

Alluvial does not currently bill insurance directly.

If you have out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be able to submit a superbill to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Whether your plan provides out-of-network benefits—and how much it reimburses—is determined by your individual insurance plan.

If you choose to use your out-of-network benefits, I can provide the documentation you need to submit your claim.

One of the benefits of private pay is that you decide whether to submit your services to your insurance company. This adds a level of privacy to your care.

Reduced-Fee Availability

I reserve one reduced-fee individual therapy appointment each week for someone experiencing financial hardship.

Reduced-fee sessions are $75–$100 per 50-minute session, based on individual circumstances and availability.

Because there is only one reserved appointment each week, availability is limited. If you’re interested in discussing a reduced-fee appointment, you’re welcome to ask during your consultation.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

  • 48+ hours’ notice: No fee
  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: $50 late-cancellation fee
  • No-show: $100 fee
  • Serious or unforeseen circumstances: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis

Good Faith Estimates

If you are uninsured or choose not to use your insurance for services, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.

A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected cost of your scheduled care before services are provided. You may request an estimate at any time.

Questions About Cost?

You don’t need to commit to therapy to ask about fees or payment options.

If you’re considering working together, a free 15-minute consultation is a chance to talk about what you’re looking for, ask questions, and decide whether Alluvial feels like the right fit.
