Privacy Policy

How this website handles your information. Last updated October 14, 2026.

Alluvial Psychotherapy (‘Alluvial,’ ‘I,’ or ‘me’) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and what to expect when you contact me. It applies to this website only. Information you share in therapy is handled separately, under my Notice of Privacy Practices, which I provide to clients.

Information I collect

Information you send me. If you use the contact form or email me, I receive what you provide, such as your name, email address, the type of appointment you are interested in, and any message you write. I use it only to respond to you and to schedule appointments.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site and its hosting provider may collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you visit. This helps keep the site secure and working properly.

Cookies. This site may use cookies, which are small files stored in your browser, to help it function. You can control cookies in your browser settings. If I add analytics tools in the future, I will update this policy.

Please do not share private health information here

Email and web forms are not a secure way to send sensitive details. Please keep messages to your name, contact information, and the kind of appointment you want. What brings you to therapy is best shared in a session, through secure telehealth.

How I use and share information

I use the information you send to reply to you, schedule appointments, and operate this website. I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I share information only with service providers that help run the website and its email and forms, such as web hosting, or when the law requires it.

Therapy and client records

Therapy sessions and client records are handled through secure telehealth and practice management tools, separate from this website. They are protected under HIPAA and Colorado law. My Notice of Privacy Practices explains how your health information is used and protected once you become a client.
